“As the event’s popularity and participation have grown exponentially in seven short years, so have the expenses to produce it. “The essence of Miami Beach Gay Pride is that it’s a celebration of the LGBTQ community, for the LGBTQ community and our allies,” said Mark Fernandes, Pride’s Board Chair. Soirée will also be the official “coming out” party for Pride’s new Executive Director Dave Cook as well as the debut announcement of Pride’s new “give back to the community initiative.” In addition to mixing and mingling with Pride supporters to the sounds of a live jazz band, “Soirée” will feature live painting by local Miami artists with the artwork to be auctioned off by the end of the event. at the newly renovated and reopened Miami Beach Women’s Club at 2401 Pinetree Drive.
